Perfect Contours - price

Martine patient story

I spent a lot of time on the internet researching cosmetic surgery. I liked the sound of Hungary initially for two reasons, firstly, you could fly from Luton cheaply and secondly the prices were very competitive. On emailing the agency, Perfect Contours, I received all the information I required very promptly, they spoke fluent English and were more than happy to answer any little query (however silly!!) with speed and always made me feel I was important. They also rang me at home to finalise the details of the surgery, this was great, I could ask any last minute questions!
We arrived in Budapest at 8 oclock in the evening where we were met by someone and were driven to our apartment. At 7.30 the next morning we were met at the apartment by Kata from the agency, who drove us to the clinic, which was located in an old hospital in town.

The surgeon Dr. Rodrigo came to see me, (he speaks English, so can answer any questions) and said he would mark me up and I would have bloods taken shortly. The anaesthetist came in to see me and I was fitted for a lovely sexy compression garment and saw the surgeon who then marked me up for the tummy tuck and liposuction on my hips.
I remember my canular being put in one arm and the blood pressure cuff on the other, Dr Rodrigo was scrubbing up and iodine was painted onto my tummy. The next thing I remember I was being pushed on the trolley back into my room. I slept most of that day and was given a tranquiliser (bliss) to help me sleep that night. I felt no pain, a little uncomfortable, but I like to sleep in my side, this obviously was impossible, the nurse tied a long bandage to the end of the bed to help me pull myself up, ingenious! Simple but such a help!

The things that stand out in my mind-
When you rang the bell for the nurse they came straight away
Again, the room was clean (maybe I’m just comparing to England)
The nurses had time for you and were happy to help-I taught the English speaking nurse how to make English tea!! She didn’t get why we put milk in!!
A duvet on the bed, not stiff old tucked in blankets (home comfort).
Funny how certain things stand out in your memory.
I rang Kata from the agency (and text her) she was great and always sorted my problem out there and then for me, although these were tiny problems and nothing to do with the operation, she couldn’t do more! The second morning I had some pain, stiffness, the nurse gave me something straight away and that helped me get up to be able to go to the loo! I found that small walk (well, shuffle) helped me and was more comfortable when I got back into bed.

On the second day the surgeon came and removed the drain, I was dreading this as Id had this done in England a few years back and it was agony then, but I hardly felt a thing!!

I was discharged mid morning on the Friday after 2 nights in the clinic. I had antibiotics and pain killers to take with me, as usual Kata was there to drive me to the apartment. I was flying home on the Sunday evening and was told to take everything at my own pace but to be careful and not to over do it. Kata arranged for me to see the surgeon one last time on the Sunday before we left. We saw him at his offices in town, he checked my tummy and changed my dressing and explained when I should have stitches removed etc. Kata had arranged a taxi to collect us from there to the airport.
The recovery is going well, the swelling is going down gradually and the difference already is amazing.

I can honestly say I have never had any regrets at all having the surgery in Hungary, never thought “what am I doing here” it made all the difference having Kata there to support me and for that I say (again) thank you. I would have more surgery done in Hungary at the drop of a hat, and am saving up as we speak! I hope to see everyone there again very soon! Martine D., Luton
