Why have breast enlargement?
The decision to have breast enlargement can be due several factors. The size of a woman’s breast is largely due to genetics, however, can also be due to fluctuations in weight, problems with asymmetry of the breast, breast feeding and pregnancy.
Procedures during the operation?
Breast enlargement surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and normally takes 1 to 2 hours and will require an overnight stay in hospital. During the procedure an incision will be made either under the crease of the breast, under the nipple or in the armpit area. The implant is then placed under the skin and breast tissue. However, in some cases where the individual does not have enough breast tissue the implants will be placed under the muscle of the breast. The incision is then closed with plastic stitches and a drain is placed. The drain will be removed the following day. The clinic uses implants made in France, filled with cohesive silicone gel. Please see the link below for more information on the implants:

Patients can expect to experience some swelling and pain after the operation and you will be able to take pain killers to relieve any discomfort. You will be given a support bra and this should be worn for at least 6 weeks after surgery to allow the implants to settle. Stitches are removed 14 days after surgery and this can be arranged with your local GP or nurse.
